Specializing in F1B and Multi-Gen Labradoodles

Meet Kimberly!

Welcome to Lilleholm Farm’s Labradoodles. Most people know me as the crazy “Doodle Momma”! They also know that my pups are my pride and joy, and there is nothing I will not do for them! We live on a small family farm in Northwest Iowa. I have successfully been raising puppies for over 30 years now. Often you will see me driving my truck around town with all my doodles hanging their heads out the window. They love car rides and love visiting people and places. All my doodles are family and are raised in my home alongside my family. I have the utmost respect, love, and passion for the Labradoodle breed. I am committed to raising the healthiest, highly intelligent, easy-to-train, and most lovable affectionate Labradoodles you will ever come to know. I believe it starts with top-of-the-line genetics, quality food, daily routines, and a whole lot of love to produce a Lilleholm Farm’s Labradoodle. Nothing but “perfect” will do!!

We are a small family farm located in Northwest Iowa that specializes in breeding high-quality, healthy, intelligent, hypo-allergenic, non-shedding, and extremely loyal multi-generational Labradoodles and Australian Labradoodles with the most desirable temperaments. Our Labradoodles are a part of the family. They are all house-trained and welcome in our home. We do not raise our puppies in a barn. They are ALL born and raised in our home, and each is treated like one of the family -- from birth on.

Labradoodles are "people" animals. They love their people and want to be near them. From birth, we work on socialization. Our puppies are handled daily. They are in our home with my family, my children, and many others who love to come and play or cuddle with these adorable, loving, sweet creatures. We also have included in our socialization program special needs adults to help the puppies get used to sudden movements and actions along with different types of sounds. We also make sure they are used to normal everyday house sounds like vacuums, lawnmowers, dishwashers, and many other sounds on and around the farm. They become very well-socialized and will be familiar with what is expected of them when they arrive at their new homes. This makes for a great, easy transition when they leave their house and become a part of your family. They are extremely smart and super easy to train.

After nearly 15 years of successfully breeding Norwegian Elkhounds, my very first Labradoodle named Sadie Suzie was purchased in Ohio...and I fell in love instantly! We adopted her into our family home, and I began researching the breed - ultimately deciding to re-shift my focus to this wonderful new breed. We have been lovingly raising Labradoodle puppies for over 15 years now. Lilleholm Farm’s Labradoodles is very excited to have reached the 4th generation of Labradoodles and Australian Labradoodles. Multi-generation Labradoodles and Australian Labradoodles are the most highly desired of all Labradoodles! They have all of the best qualities of health, conformations, temperament, and hypoallergenic and non-shedding traits. These traits have been solidified in our breeding lines. The best of the best!!

Top 10 Tips for

Selecting a Good Breeder

GoodBreeder2.jpg
  1. They keep the dogs in the home and as part of the family – not outside in kennel runs. You should also make sure the area where the puppies are kept is clean.

  2. They have Labradoodles which appear happy and healthy. The dogs are excited to meet new people and don’t shy away from visitors.

  3. A good dog breeder will encourage you to spend time with the puppy's parents – or at least the pup's mother when you visit. They want your entire family to meet the puppy and are happy for you to make more than one visit.

  4. They breed only one or a maximum of two types of dogs, and they are very familiar with the 'breed standards,' even though the Labradoodle is a crossbreed.

  5. Like purebreds, Labradoodles can have potential genetic weaknesses. A good breeder should explain these and may have documents to prove that both parents are free from any genetic defects such as hip dysplasia, elbow dysplasia, and eye problems like progressive retinal atrophy (PRA) and hereditary cataracts.

  6. Responsible breeders should provide you with a contract and health guarantee and allow you plenty of time to read them. They will also show you records of the puppy's veterinary visits and explain what vaccinations the puppy will need.

  7. They guide you in caring and training for your puppy and are available for assistance after you take the puppy home.

  8. They feed their dogs high-quality dog food.

  9. They don’t always have puppies available but will keep a list of interested people for the next available litter.

  10. And finally… good Labradoodle breeders will provide references of other families who have bought their puppies. Make sure you call at least one or have access to read references or reviews left by some.

“A good breeder will also agree to take a puppy back within a certain time frame if it does not work out for you or if there is a health problem. Happy, healthy puppies are what everyone wants. Taking the time now to find a responsible breeder is time well spent. It could save you a lot of time, money, and worry in the future and help to ensure that you and your chosen puppy are happy together for many years!”
